Question 1.
What does 'range' refer to in sensor terminology?
Show hintHide hint
Consider the extremes of a measurement scale.
Question 2.
Define accuracy in the context of sensors.
Show hintHide hint
Think about how precise the measurements are.
3Question 3.
What does range refer to in sensor terminology?
- A. The accuracy of the sensor
- B. The maximum and minimum measurement limits
- C. The sensitivity of the sensor
Show hintHide hint
Think about how wide the measurement scale can be.
4Question 4.
True or False: Drift refers to the immediate changes in sensor output during measurement.
- True
- False
Show hintHide hint
Consider the time factor.
Question 5.
A temperature sensor consistently reads 1.5 degrees higher than actual temperatures during long-term monitoring. Evaluate how drift could affect the reliability of temperature data over time and suggest a solution.
Show hintHide hint
Consider how often the sensor data is checked.
Question 6.
Describe the processes and importance of maintaining sensitivity in a pressure sensor used in a hydraulic system. What issues might arise if sensitivity is compromised?
Show hintHide hint
Reflect on the critical nature of pressure changes in hydraulic applications.
