What is gravimetric capacity?
Think about safety limits on machines.
How do you calculate the weight of a load?
What two measurements do you need for this calculation?
What does gravimetric capacity refer to?
Think about the manufacturer's guidelines.
If a material's density is 2 tons/m³ and the volumetric load is 4 m³, what is the weight?
Use the formula: Weight = Density x Volume.
A truck can legally carry 15 tons. If a construction site requires loading 8 tons of gravel and 6 tons of concrete, will the truck be able to transport it safely?
Sum the expected weights.
Calculate the adjustment for a truck that should carry 12 tons but due to additional water content, the weight must be recalculated where the density of water is 1 ton/m³.
Consider the density effect due to moisture or additional materials.
