Attempting to justify behavior with logical reasons, even if they aren't true.
This module invites students to reflect on the external and internal forces that shape a person. Through the lens of The Great Stone Face, we see how virtue is grown through quiet meditation. In the poetry of Tagore and Blake, we investigate the definition of freedom, contrasting the soul's liberation with the "cages" of labor and schooling. Finally, we contrast the moral trials of childhood (Jalebis) with the structured, holistic wisdom of ancient Indian Gurukuls, providing a broad perspective on how education and ethics intersect.
