Question 1.
Define parallel processing in your own words.
Show hintHide hint
Think about how you can do various tasks at once.
Question 2.
What is distributed memory?
Show hintHide hint
Consider how our own memories are spread out rather than stored in one place.
3Question 3.
What is the main advantage of parallel processing in neuromorphic systems?
- It reduces the need for memory
- It allows simultaneous data processing
- It simplifies programming
Show hintHide hint
Think of how many inputs can be processed at the same time.
4Question 4.
True or False: Distributed memory refers to having a single central memory location.
- True
- False
Show hintHide hint
Consider multiple drawers versus one drawer for storage.
Question 5.
Consider a scenario where a robotic system must navigate a busy intersection. Develop a neuromorphic model outline that utilizes both parallel processing and distributed memory, detailing how the system processes information.
Show hintHide hint
Think about how redundancy can improve safety and response times.
Question 6.
Critically assess how the adoption of brain-inspired architectures can reshape industries aside from robotics, providing examples.
